12:30 Program, followed by socializing & touring the museum; Afro-American Historical Association (AAHA), 4243 Loudon Ave., The Plains, VA   

INCLEMENT WEATHER DATE: Saturday, January 25 (postponed from January 20, 2025 to January 25, 2025)

PURPOSES: Thank volunteers, vendors, sponsors and participants for their support; encourage their participation in 2025; encourage any of those in attendance who have not participated to sign up; build up our FJ community; encourage their touring of the museum and hearing about AAHA's work; kick off a weekend of celebrating the life and goals of Dr. King. 

PROGRAM: 3 basic parts: 1) fellowship and food time   2) program to include information about Juneteenth and the AAHA presented by Miriam Wallace, Barrie Newman & Karen Hughes White [30 minutes total],  and then 3) opportunity to ask questions of the speakers, socialize, and see the museum-- either self-guided or docent led

RAFFLE PRIZES: Several items such as Juneteenth tote bags and AAHA books will be given away. 

WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: In the rear of the building, with access to the first floor Resource Room.  Food and drink will be brought up from the lower level, and participants can watch the program streamed. 

THOSE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY: Enter by the museum entrance on the side, near the slave cage.  Greeters will be in position.
